INTRODUCTION

Why a Short Film?

Currently, Three Horizons Productions has identified potential investors for the production of Out Of Focus, however, more funding is needed in order to make the feature-length film.

There are two completed versions of Out Of Focus, both as short films. The first version has been shortened to 20 minutes and is a more abstract rendition of the feature-length script. The second version is 40 minutes in length and covers multiple locations, cast, and special effects. Both versions have a different story angle and ending from the feature-length screenplay.

The core team of Three Horizons Productions decided to produce a short version of Out Of Focus to provide potential investors, producers, and distributors with strong visuals about the story and the expected look and feel of the feature film. A short film version also acts as a “proof of concept” of the real talent and skills of the cast, crew, and production facilities that may ultimately be involved in the making of the feature film.

Our many thanks to the angel investors and sponsors who have made it possible to create the short film version of Out Of Focus.

Longline

A young woman with great mind powers will become the greatest shaman of all time, if she accepts the challenge made by a mysterious visitor - to defeat a supernatural evil that knows no boundaries in its insatiable thirst for human souls.

Synopsis

Although blessed with most unusual mind powers, a young woman, Aella, lives a rather dull and solitary life. Outside her comfortable world, a dark, mysterious evil is on a deadly rampage killing people randomly. Deaths with no blood. No weapons. No clues. No suspects. Challenged by a mysterious visitor, Loki, to fulfill her destiny as a powerful shaman defeating this evil, Aella reaches out to a photographer, Nick Andrews, who believes his camera captures the victims — just before they die.
